Krušćica/island of Cres

Kruščica Bay on the island of Cres is usually frequented by swimmers on boats from nearby Punat and Krk. Anchors can be lowered to the sandy bottom, which holds well, optimally at a depth of 5–7 metres. At greater depths, the seabed is covered by Neptune grass and anchoring is forbidden. On the beach itself, there are several derelict shepherds’ huts.

On the slopes around the bay, there are several small mobile homes which have been placed there illegally. We sincerely hope that the local government will succeed in putting an end to such behaviour and remove the existing trailers.

Kruščica is protected as an area of special biodiversity.
