Zadar
At the very tip of the Zadar peninsula, next to the world-famous Sea Organ, shines "Greeting to the Sun", made by the same architect, Nikola Bašić. "Greeting to the Sun" consists of three hundred multi-layered plates placed at the same level as the stone-paved waterfront in the shape of a 22-meter-diameter circle.
"Greeting to the Sun" is conceived as a spatial installation in the shape of an amphitheatre around which blocks of stone represent the planets of the solar system and their orbits.
At the same time as the "most beautiful sunset in the world", the lighting elements, arranged in a circle, are turned on and, following a specially programmed scenario, produce a marvelous and impressive show of lights to the rhythm of the waves and the sounds of the Sea Organ.
