Klimno/island of Krk

Klimno is a quiet, romantic small village ornamented by the small 14th century church of St. Clement's, to which it owes its name. The church is well known for its beautiful altar relief, which is protected as a piece of national cultural heritage.

Klimno has been a popular destination for many years, and is well known for its rich culinary offer, with restaurants serving seafood and other specialties along with the wonderful local wine Žlahtina.

There is also a marina with a dry dock. Accommodation includes private villas and apartments. There is also a motor camping site. Surrounded by pine-trees and other Mediterranean plants, Klimno is a popular destination for excursions, and can be reached by both land and sea.

In the immediate vicinity, there is also the settlement of Soline, known for its pre-Roman saltpans. Offering private accommodation, it is becoming more and more popular, particularly due to its medicinal mud baths.

The sheltered bay and shallow warm sea, together with a temperate climate, make bathing and various sea activities possible from the beginning of May until late Autumn. The mud baths not only possess healing properties, but also provide the additional sense of an exotic vacation, which makes the bay more attractive for young and old alike.
