The Venetian seducer Giacomo Casanova twice visited the town of Vrsar, in 1743 and 1744, when the town was already famous for its good food, Refosco wine and beautiful women: "A good wife serves fish prepared in oil for lunch, which is excellent in this area, and offers us the Refosco, a great Istrian wine..." Casanovafest, a festival of love and eroticism, celebrates the historical connection of the famous seducer with the town of Vrsar. Through different artistic spheres - literature nights, exhibitions and lectures, erotic film projections and musical events, the timeless theme of love and relationships, which Casanova himself experienced intensively and then picturesquely described in his Memoirs, will be deliberated.
