The Jabuka regatta began with only 16 racing ships. But soon it became popular not only among Croatian sailors, but also crews from Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
It is a hard Off Shore race over a 105 Nm long route with a night start from the beautiful city of Vodice. These days, the starting field counts more than 70 boats. The turning point is a cliff on the island of Jabuka (starboard), where due to vulcanic reef there is magnetic anomaly.
