Zagreb Boat Show

The new edition of the Zagreb Boat Show is about to commence in a month. The fair will last for 5 days, from 22 to 26 February.
Along with the vessels the Boat Show will present marine engines, diving, fishing and sailing equipment, clothing and footwear for boaters and the charter services. The fair will be accompanied by a number of professional events and attractions for visitors.

As the announcement of the fair we have asked Mr. Zoran Ušurić, project manager, to give us the following information:

1. The majority of your exhibitors consider the Zagreb Boat Show the start and announcement of the upcoming tourist season. What are your expectations regarding this year's fair?
The preparations for this year's Boat Show are progressing under very complex economic circumstances that have made a significant impact on business activities in the boating sector. Nevertheless, the fair will maintain its last year's size comprising 4 exhibition pavilions. This year's fair will display a rich offer of smaller vessels, engines, navigation devices, boating clothing and footwear, fishing and diving equipment. As compared to previous editions there will be less large and expensive boats.

2. To what extent are your satisfied with the exhibitors' interest in the 21st Boat Show so far?
The interest of exhibitors is quite good; they all know that the Zagreb Boat Show is the most important business event of its kind in Croatia and that they will be able to achieve tangible business results.

3. Can you name some of the professional events and gatherings to take place at the 21st Boat Show?
Among professional events we wish to emphasize the expert gathering on prospects of boating in Croatia to be organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University in Zagreb.

4. Can you reveal some new attractions for visitors?
Special attention of visitors will surely be attracted by the 115-year-old fishing boat leut that has sailed across almost all European seas.

5. How much does the admission cost?
The same as last year the admission ticket prizes will be 30 kn, i.e. 10 kn for pupils, students and pensioners. We expect over 20,000 boat enthusiasts to visit the 2012 Boat Show in Zagreb.
Thank you very much for your answers. I wish you the successful 21st edition of the Zagreb Boat Show.

The 21st edition of the largest business boat show in the region will present world producers of boats, yachts, sailing boats, speedboats, scooters, kayaks, dinghies, marine engines and outboard motors, clothing and footwear, equipment and accessories for diving, fishing, sailing and other water sports. Numerous Croatian marinas, charter companies, shipyards, schools, agencies, clubs, institutions and associations related to boating and nautical tourism will offer their services.

Longtime membership of the Zagreb Boat Show in the international federation of the most significant boat show organizers - IFBSO is the proof that the organizer has successfully adapted to new situations and trends despite the global recession and many problems of the Croatian nautical market and has recognized the needs and possibilities of the exhibitors. Therefore let us sail together the same course and at the same speed towards yet another Zagreb Boat Show at the Zagreb Fair.
