Vis, Vis…

If you go ashore in the town of Vis, visit a fort which is only a 30-minute walk from the harbour.
The locals call it Fortica. It is actually called Fort George, named after King George III. It is the largest fortification on the island situated on the western entrance to the port of Vis. It was built by the Royal Navy in 1813 as part of their campaign on the Adriatic. After being used for military purposes for almost two centuries, the fortification was abandoned and now the company European Travel Ventures was granted a 25-year concession for this valuable building that is currently under comprehensive restoration. In summertime parties, concerts, and other events are held there, encouraging the locals and tourists to visit the fortification. (http://vis-central.com/)
It offers a top-quality restaurant, an authentic bar, and a breath-taking view of the city and the sea. Catamaran sailing is a hedonistic experience. As opposed to other sailing boats, catamarans offer more space for passengers. Its large salon, comfortable cabins, spacious kitchen, and the cockpit are ideal for larger groups or several families. If you decide to visit Vis, we have great deals for catamarans in May.

Here are a few examples of available catamarans from 14 and 21 May, 2016 out of Split and surrounding bases.

All prices are in euros.
Transit log, end-cleaning and deposit are obligatory options, to be paid directly at the charter base upon arrival. In addition to the specified prices, in Croatia there is also a tourist tax which amounts to 1 euro per person per day (tax exempt are children until the age of 12, disabled persons; children aged 12-18 pay 50%).
The deposit is a security measure which is returned to the charterer if the yacht is returned undamaged and in the same condition it was in upon being handed over. The deposit can be paid in different ways: in cash, by credit card, traveller's cheque or by bank transfer. However, charter agencies usually only accept cash payments or credit card slips. Some charter bases do not accept American Express.
The booking of a boat is confirmed by a down-payment of 30% to 50% of the total rental price with the emainder to be paid 4 weeks before sailing out.
